I’m always up for a good nutrition packed smoothie or juice, especially when we are hitting Spring time and the ‘detox season’ after winter’s dietary sins.
This one has a great zing and is a little on the earthy side.
Perhaps it should be classed more like a ‘roughy’ instead of a smoothie when it comes to consistency but none the less it packs a great therapeutic punch with it’s high antioxidants, fibre and enzymes as well as circulatory and anti-inflammatory properties.
Ingredients
3/4 cup Pineapple
1 cup Strawberries
½ cup Kale leaves
1 tsp Ginger grated
¼ cup Water
Method
Remove the strawberry tops and chop the pineapple into pieces.
Remove the kale leaves from the stems.
Grate the ginger.
Combine the above ingredients with water and blitz.
